Tactical and Optics Encourages Knife Training

My daughter recently announced that she needed a knife for protection.  She works around criminal prisoners from a local jail facility who often come on her company’s property.

My first response was,  “do you know how to use a knife?”  I explained to her that the very person she would be trying to defend herself against would probably be unarmed.  That means that the prisoner would be bent on taking her knife away from her.  Which in turn would leave her wide open for being the one wounded, disfigured, disabled or even killed with her own knife  The best suggestion, for anyone wanting to protect them self with a knife, would be to learn how to use a knife.  A pretty pink knife from Gerber Knives or K Bar Knives won’t do any good; if you are not the one holding the knife or with the knowledge of how to use the knife.

Cold Steel makes an excellent video on how to protect your self from an assailant with a knife.  A long range knife technique is employed throughout the video using rhythm, footing steps, timing the opponents strikes as well as yours, speed in response as well as evasion, all delivered via superior tactics and strategy.    Watching this three-part knife training video might just be the thing that saves your life one day.  The knowledge gained from watching this knife training can well equip you to protect your loved ones or even your self.
