It would be great if all children could have firearm training while still young if they are interested in hunting or target shooting. Formal firearm training allows children to learn the importance of safety and obtain the necessary skills to use a weapon. Thus this reduces the number of accidents and children learn to respect firearms.
Interest can be sparked if children are introduced to shooting sports when young, yet old enough to be responsible. Guns are meant for self defense, shooting accuracy or hunting sports and are to be used with care. Basic instructions in firearm training involve safely handling firearms. There were even school courses in rifle shooting given that were awarded for proficiency with certificates.
The defensive part of shooting allows the student to be a good marksman. Firearm training teaches them to be familiar with the weapon, the correct way to hold it, different stances, loading and reloading (even in the dark), how to move with it, steadying the gun or rifle,
Tips from firearm training allows you to act instinctively utilizing good old common sense when using a firearm.
